I am Shanna Mace and I am located outside of Jacksonville, Florida in a small town called Middleburg. In 2003, I began my education in Photography at the University of North Florida. Also that same year, I became an assistant to John Heredia, an internationally-recognized photographer. Although Photography was just my minor in college, it quickly became my priority. I enjoyed the basics- working with negatives and in the dark room. I grew into digital photography as the need became more apparent. I began photographing weddings in 2004 as a favor for a friend in need. From there, just by word of mouth, my business grew into an incredible network. I have worked with amazing clients and their kindness and loyalty has brought in so many new faces.
My love for photography has not developed into a full time career because 180 days out of the year, I am a junior high school teacher. I teach Language Arts and Journalism. With that being said, I keep my rates considerably low because this is not my sole source of income. Photography is one of my passions and I appreciate the income it does provide, but my ultimate goal is to provide clients with the opportunity to receive a professional photographer’s quality at an affordable price.
Individual/Family/Maternity/Senior Portraits – $175
This includes:
2 hours of photographic coverage
Album of 50+ 4×6 proofs
Full rights to reproduce images
CD(s) loaded with all edited pictures
*if you would just like to receive the pictures on a cd and not in an album, I will reduce the price to $75. Offer only available for portrait sessions, not weddings or small events.
Small Events- Birthday Parties/Ceremonies/Celebrations - $400
This includes:
3 hours of photographic coverage
Album of 100+ 4×6 proofs
CD(s) loaded with all edited pictures
Full rights to reproduce images
Weddings – $675 **Deposit of $175 *$500 due on event date or prior

6 hours of photographic coverage
Album of 200 4×6 proofs
CD(s) loaded with all edited pictures
Full rights to reproduce images
*For a session located outside of Jacksonville, Orange Park, Middleburg, Green Cove Springs, or Saint Augustine, there will be an increase in the cost for mileage.

My husband and I booked Shanna to be our wedding photographer. We met her for engagement pictures in St. Augustine, and she made us feel totally at ease. She suggested poses for us, but let us do our own thing as well. After a little while, we pretty much forgot she was there.
She was very helpful at our wedding. During the ceremony, we didn't even realize she was there! She managed to take pictures without our awareness that really demonstrated the sentimentality of the day. After the (outdoor) ceremony, it rained, and Shanna managed to take beautiful portraits nonetheless. She probably took several hundred pictures, and they all looked great. The album she made for us really showcased the best portions of our day, and the edited pictures were perfect.
Shanna is warm, friendly, and completely professional. She has a great attitude and is easy to work with. She takes multiple shots of the same scene to ensure that the essence of the moment is captured and nothing is missed. I highly recommend her!
