I’m a sucker for a great moment. I’m pretty good at living in the present, but I constantly find myself wrapped up in my favorite nostalgic moments of the past. Not entire days, or weeks, but those split seconds that make you smile from the inside out. I love anything real, raw, and unfiltered, which is what these moments that I always talk about really are. When I suggest a pose while photographing, that isn’t raw, but when I suggest a pose and then the people I’m shooting crack up laughing, that’s real, and that’s the moment I’m looking for.

Once I really discovered photography that was it for me. The fact that this crazy device is fast enough to capture those moments is unreal. There’s nothing I love more than watching people interact, seeing the love and the raw emotions, anticipating moments, and being able to freeze them forever.

I grew up in Pequot Lakes, MN and from there moved to Duluth, London, Dublin, St. Paul, Minneapolis, and now call Tacoma, Washington home.
