My name is Eliza, and I love to take pictures.
My interest in photography was sparked by my mother, who earned a Masters Degree in Fine Art from Yale University. She studied photography briefly under Walker Evans, and taught photography at what is now The University of the Arts in Philadelphia. The technical knowledge and artistic guidance she has passed to me is invaluable.
I started working at a professional photo lab in South Jersey in 1998, where I learned the “ins & outs” of the photography business and racked up experience as an event photographer’s assistant.
Throughout my academic career, including my 5 years as an Art major at Rowan University, I furthered my knowledge of photography, digital media, and fine arts.
I began working independently in college doing event photography for friends and acquaintances. After my own wedding in 2006, I decided to “go digital” and get into gear building a photography business for myself.
My style is photojournalistic, and details are my focus. I love to do things a little bit differently. Although I value my work greatly, I find great reward in offering my services at an affordable price – everyone should be able to afford gorgeous photos.
As a photographer, there is nothing more rewarding than capturing a beautiful moment in someone’s life and presenting it back to them as a treasured image. I love what I do, and I do it very well.
